What if Ariel, surely one of the most beloved fairytale princesses of all time, were to get married today? Better yet, what if the Little Mermaid hosted an intimate wedding in the English countryside? Today’s editorial is literally dripping with whimsical creativity, and honoring all that we love in this age-old fairytale.

While conceptualizing the vision for this photography workshop, the team at The Stars Inside had this to say: We were inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s story of The Little Mermaid – a gentle narrative thread that lead us through all the styling decisions. In summary, we loved imagining what this fairytale character would be like as a bride, falling in love with the world above the sea. 

The photos from Rebecca Carpenter truly tell an incredible story of the Little Mermaid brides – each with their own personalities and magical energies. Let’s head to Walcot Hall in Shropshire, United Kingdom, where the classic fairytale is about to have a few more chapters added:
