This season at Hushed Commotion, it’s all about romance and a return to art deco inspiration. In a nod to elegance – pearls, opals, velvet and moonstones are at the forefront of this collection. I fell in love with using frosted lucite to create pieces that are both sculptural yet soft and romantic. The juxtaposition this material allowed me, was so inspiring.

First up, take look at all of this loveliness!! These pieces are so delicate that they have a priceless heirloom quality about them. They could almost be pieces that have been handed down from generation to generation.
Fashion and Beauty
Wanting to highlight the beauty of the accessories, the stylists chose soft bridal designs that featured layers of elegant fabric and texture. The gowns featured here are by Tara LaTour, Alexandra Grecco, and Theia and come from Unbridaled. Flowing waves, flirty ponytails and regal up-dos are by Natalie Hues Hair and the fresh-faced makeup looks are by Alicia Beller.

We were moved by the delicate shapes and sophisticated composition of the pieces and the inherent beauty found in their silhouettes. The collection is the intersection of old world glamour and fashion, made chic and architectural for a modern Victorian feel.
Gilded Age Glamour
How gorgeous are these gilded florets with pearl centers?? We are especially fond of that hairpiece that can be worn either as a headband or at the back of the head for a modern Flapper vibe!
Inspired by Nature
Without a doubt, this is STUNNING! We’re loving how this frosted lucite leaf hairpiece pairs perfectly with the fluttering details of this gown! Hushed Commotion pieces are designed to be the final perfect touch that brings your entire bridal look together.

Lauren: Inspired by the brass, lucite, pearl, and leather of the collection, we chose a monochromatic palette with hints of natural materials, blush, and burgundy. Elements of plaster, steel, glass, brick and soft hues of sandy tones provided a stunning backdrop both indoors and out. We were greatly influenced by the South Congress Hotel’s distinctive modern yet simple atmosphere.
Olive + Gene Weddings designed the perfect airy, boho florals to complement the bridal looks.
The glamour of sparkling earrings meets the relaxed attitude of the cutest straw hat by Lack of Color.
