A Natural, Wild and Undone Bridal Editorial

Ideas

It’s a pleasure to end this week with such a beautiful editorial.

The team behind these images, sent in by photographer Mindy Coe, wanted to reflect a strong sense of sustainability and chose to work within a nature reserve, The Dreys, in Sittingbourne, Kent. Here, they were surrounded by beautiful plants and natural materials that provided the perfect backdrop  and sense of raw, wild undone that the team wanted to evoke through their images.

“We wanted to project stories of untold love through our work, and to provide a sense of nostalgia, with our bride and groom getting lost during wild breakfasts in the woods, followed by them partying with happy abandon in the fields.”

“Our team became swept up in the ethereal beauty of our shoot venue, The Dreys.  This beautiful reserve hosts a sublime backdrop for an undone ‘theatre of dreams’ – pre loved found pieces with a mystical old worldly feel.”

“There’s a really strong element of memories woven into the fabric of this beautiful space – from family dress up times and fairy tales – things that were once lost and forgotten, now together again. We wanted our shoot to embody the dance of light, texture and raw emotion.”

“We draw on all the wild beauty that surrounded us and paired this with organic texture and details and elegant glass and tableware. Natural, hand-dyed organic cottons, dried flowers and pampas grass all added beautiful final details.”

“We hope the readers of Love My Dress will love these images as much as we do and find inspiration in them for their own weddings.”
