Dana + Matt were clear from the beginning stages of wedding planning. They wanted their venue to be unique and creative. So, they opted for the most modern, edgy and uncommon ceremony setting they could find…a parking garage.
You read that right! D+M exchanged vows under the Swiss architectural wonder that is the 1111 Lincoln Road parking garage in Miami Beach, Florida. This parking structure can fit up to 300 cars; as well as a whole lotta love, as it did for D+M’s modern wedding ceremony. With the help of The Creative’s Loft’s planning professionals, they were able to use the raw beauty of this unconventional space and construct it into the COOLEST setting.
Here’s Adrianna with The Creative’s Loft: The inspiration behind their day was based on a high-end, but minimal tropical style. The bride envisioned a very sophisticated, minimalist wedding. Together, with her planning team, Dana designed a clean, tropical-chic wedding ceremony + reception. They also put a big emphasis on live music, by hiring a cool Miami singer named Keith Johns. Wedding guests loved the band so much that they did not want to leave the parking garage for the wedding reception!
But really, who would want to leave that rad parking garage?! Thankfully, Pablo Laguia artfully captured this geometric gem of a wedding. Let’s look!
Dana wore a modern embroidery Rue De Seine dress with a simple, yet stunning, chapel-length veil. Those soft textures against the giant concrete walls are giving us life!
The Shape of Things
Between the house of cards-style parking structure and their circular ceremony arbor wrapped in twine, we’re in awe of all this geometric magic!
D+M wanted to juxtapose the cool but rigid feel of the space by adding varying textures and lounge seating from Unearthed Rentals.
Structured Ceremony
We’re going to guess it was Primrose Floral’s first time setting up in a parking garage. Nevertheless, their team brought it with this chic floral scene! Loving the bulky tropical leaves + neutral color palette.
Processional: The Talking Heads – Home (played by Keith Johns)
Recessional: The Lumineers – Ho Hey (played by Keith Johns)
First Dance: We skipped it because we were having too much fun dancing with our guests – sorry Mom and Dad!
And Married!
There are so many! The night went by in a flash but with so many memorable moments, I think our top two are seeing each other for the first time + the post-dinner dancing. Everyone hit the dance floor early!
It’s a bold move to have your ceremony in a parking garage. But, boy, did their risk pay off – big time!

A Standard Reception
D + M are big fans of The Standard Hotel in Miami Beach, so they always planned for guests to retreat there for a waterfront dinner under the setting sun. More thoughtful modern+ tropical details were incorporated into this high-end hotel reception.
