Boho Princess Jasmine Inspired Elopement in the Ojito Wilderness

Planning

Ojito Wilderness ElopementHere’s a million dollar wedding planning word for 2020: contingency! From Sedona to Albuquerque…from less than 50 guests to just 5 people…Emy + Janssen conquered their contingency plans, and had a dreamy boho elopement in the Ojito Wilderness! Talk about romantic endurance!

We’ll let Emy address the STUNNING elephant in the room, and that’s her Princess Jasmine inspired bridal look: Most of the inspiration behind this day was from our original celestial elopement with bohemian elements, but we had to tweak it a bit to fit the desert landscape. Naturally, the dried florals were a perfect fit, and we were still able to incorporate some celestial elements. By the end of the night, largely due to the amazing Princess Jasmine inspired headpiece, Janssen came up with the theme: ‘Desert Nights.’

Not only is this boho elopement stylish and in a breathtaking setting, it’s wildly encouraging to see, yet another couple, prevail after navigating through COVID-19. Katie Lively perfectly captured the energy of the day + many, many sweet moments:

Etherial Invites

The wedding stationery is etherial + a bit otherworldly. Sen Mendiola really did a beautiful job with the colors + artistic details.

Grace Loves Lace Dress
Speechless. Emy’s Grace Loves Lace gown is 100% effortless style. It’s a piece of art, with unique shapes + contouring! How beautiful does it look against the neutral beauty of the wilderness?!

Princess Jasmine Vibes

So many feelings about this bridal look! For one, the Princess Jasmine inspiration is real, and Emy (and team) nailed it!! The rhinestone hairdressing from Twigs & Honey is just stunning. Pulling in the rad celestial vibes is Anita Apothecary with these hair pins, leaving us starry-eyed! Genica Lee gives all these gorgeous accessories a perfect foundation with her hair + makeup work. We’re over the moon for this boho elopement look!

dried flower bouquet
Dried floral heaven! Florecita Flowers gracefully encapsulates desert vibes here, while including some really lovely colors for E’s bridal bouquet.

Ojito Wilderness Elopement
To practice social distancing guidelines, they asked their photographer and beauty artist to be their witnesses instead of friends to lessen the exposure risk. So admirable!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

I believe what makes an intimate elopement extra special is the sweetness of being in the moment. Waking up next to him the morning of, made me so giddy. It felt so surreal. I can imagine the hustle and bustle and palpable excitement if everyone was around, but since it was just the two of us, secluded in the mountains…it was more like a dream. It’s hard to pick a favorite part, but our ceremony was just breathtaking + memorable. The weather was perfect, and the wind just breezed through – participating and cueing in appropriately.
