Santa Monica Proper Hotel

Another week at home…and we’re still spending the majority of that time in the kitchen. HBU? Dreaming of clinking glasses at a real-life restaurant one day (sigh). But for now, we’re brewing up our own fermented drinks and vanilla sweet creams and — let’s just say there are lots of drink ideas to be had in this week’s roundup, folks!

If you followed our Instagram saga, we are happy to say that after going missing for a full week, we are BACK! Lots of sleep to catch up on from that fiasco but all is well and we can interact with your lovely faces once more 🙂

Hope everyone has a great long weekend — and we want to honor all who gave their lives as we remember their heroic service this Memorial Day.

{above: For those in the Los Angeles area who just need to get out of the house, the Santa Monica Proper Hotel is opening back up today! Here are the latest details for the “reimagined” experience.}

You guys…if you’re planning a smaller wedding than you originally imagined, this guide that we shared this week is SO helpful. Send it to your friends who need it!

These sunburst closet doors by Studio DIY are AMAZING!

It’s the perfect time for a refreshing weekend drink and this frosé never fails to get the job done.

With all the cooking we’re doing at home, updating pans are a must…these super pretty ones are on Jen’s wishlist!

Sourdough and tie-dye are great quarantine projects, but have you tried Tepache? It’s SO easy to make and refreshing on its own..but also great mixed with a Mexican lager. Next up, we’re trying cocktails.

Got this cute picnic basket from for summer adventures (wine slots, big seller)!

Missing our Starbucks vanilla sweet cream cold brew something fierce so…time to get a milk frother and make our own at home!

Updated the bedroom with this ADORABLE summery bedding from Target.

(We’re trying to) start the day with a lemon ginger elixir by @earthandy!

Two words: puff sleeves! This blouse is a perfect go-to for high-waisted shorts + skirts, and this one is so romantic…only $10 and it comes in 4 colors/patterns.

Currently watching Lost from the beginning…what better time, right?

Just making sure everyone knows about billie. The razor delivery service is more affordable than whatever you throw in your cart at Target and is also very cute. And the Dry-Bye Lotion is magic – smells amazing (like grapefruit) but isn’t overpowering. The perfect out-of-the-shower matte lotion.

We sense some embroidery happening this weekend at our place thanks to this amazing book on Modcloth.

Missing Disneyland like we are? We want to try this Churro Toffee recipe that tastes just like they do in the parks!

A new binge-worthy show on Netflix? The Big Flower Fight is like the Great British Baking Show — but with flowers.

This Italian carrot cake recipe is totally different than traditional carrot cake and totally delicious. It’s been on rotation 4 times already during quarantine!
