Elopement Inspiration in the Moab Canyons Turned Surprise Proposal!

Planning

Desert Elopement Inspiration Turned Surprise Proposal

When Schadell + Jamaal came down to the Moab canyons, she thought they were just modeling for a styled photoshoot with The Hearnes Adventure Photography. Little did she know, her boyfriend of 4 years was working with the photographers to plan a surprise proposal in the west world!

With gorgeous styling – featuring not one but TWO Rue de Seine gowns from their Moonrise Canyon collection, and plenty of stunning Moab scenes, this shoot will leave you a ‘lil style + loves truck in the best way.

Let’s sneak off to the Moab desert and watch this stylish proposal unfold…

Will You Marry Me?

S + J frequently model for styled shoots, so it was business as usual in Schadell’s mind. However, things took a turn very quickly as they began to settle into the canyons. Here’s the view from her lens:

Once we got out to the canyon lands, I just remember taking a deep breath, breathing in that fresh air and opening my eyes to one of the most beautiful sunrises I’d ever seen. As I held Jamaal’s hand, I remember feeling so thankful for the opportunity. He was trying to fix my hair right before we got started; and when I turned back around to face him, I saw him down on one knee.

I just started saying “Oh my God, is this for real?!” We’ve used props before, so at first I thought maybe it was just for the shoot… but then I stopped rambling and told him, “Ok, I’ll shut up now so you can say what you need to say.”

S continues: I think he was so nervous after that, he forgot most of what he had prepared. But, none of that really mattered. He asked me if I’d spend the rest of my life with him, and I said YES!!

We of course LOVE that Rue De Seine dress Schadell is wearing, but if you are looking for a similar style dress that can be at your door in 2-6 weeks (and these are all under $1200!), we rounded up some other gorgeous options for an adventure elopement!

She Said Yes!

Rue de Seine

Those sunrise colors though!

Okay, now that we’re done happy crying, let’s talk about this first Rue de Seine dress. The ‘East’ gown is particularly amazing because of the rad halter silhouette! Its bold, detailed twist lace has sinuous curves that look great on anyone…not to mention that train in the sunshine. Heart eyes!

Groom-to-be, Jamaal, rocked two looks, too! Two rad suits from Express – we love the emerald green and the maroon getup against the Moab canyons.

And this Rue de Seine dress, ‘Dallas,’ shows a love struck cowgirl, with panels of western style bandwork paired + fringe that cascades all the way to the ground. Yee-haw! Stunning.
