Sometimes the surprises of the wedding day turn out to be the best moments! That’s what happened for Jessica + Vince for their wedding in Aspen at The Little Nell. J dreamed of a bohemian-style, Fall wedding, so her heart sank when it started to snow in the mountains on the morning of the wedding. It turns out, that the mountains knew what they were doing, because it created a misty and magical setting for their celebration. With the help of event designers, Banks & Leaf, J+V’s celebration showed off some stunning florals, a GWS x Lover’s Society wedding dress, and their adventurous spirits. It was all captured by Sarah Knuth, the author of the blog- Welcome to Sarahdise.
J shared this with us about their inspiration:
We love the town of Aspen and wanted our guests to see what is so special about the mountains. Vince and I also wanted a fun celebration that was beautiful and laid back. We did not refer to our day as a “wedding”, but instead called it our Love Celebration, or Love Weekend! The theme for the day/weekend was “It Was All A Dream”. Dream catchers were our party favors and were spread around the venues. Dreamy, boho, gypsy vibes were what inspired me. We really wanted a non-traditional weekend to celebrate our love with 80 of our closest friends and family.

The Lovely Wedding Party
Salon Tullio created such soft and pretty hair and makeup looks! Paired with the pale bridesmaids dresses and flowy flowers, it makes for a very ethereal vibe!
Bridesmaids in BHLDN never disappoint!!

Flower-Filled Wedding Ceremony
Carolyn’s Flowers designed the most beautiful ceremony flowers in the round. We love this look to create a stunning setup that also perfectly frames the bride and groom!
J’s best friend from high school, Otto Linwood (OL3) officiated their ceremony. Such a sweet and personal touch!
Good Luck Snow Day
The snow!! I literally had a heart attack when I woke up the day of and looked out the window….it was a white out! I had hoped for a fall wedding but the mountains had different plans! The entire morning while getting ready, I thought the day was completely ruined…..it ended up being quite a magical day! Right before our ceremony and during it snowed again so it creates some pretty dramatic photos!
Adding white rose petals for added snowy effect… perfection!
The Newlyweds
Personally pick all your vendors and follow your gut with who you want to work with! Stay true to what your design and vision is for the day and choose vendors that help you achieve that. I’m obsessed with how everything turned out and although it was more work it ended up being so much more rewarding.I was going in circles about photographers and am so glad I ended up not settling with my first round of photographers I talked with. My pictures and style of the photos are just what I hoped for!
The Wyatt Gown
We’re always giddy when we feature a bride rocking one of our gowns. J looked absolutely stunning in the GWS x Lovers Society “Wyatt” gown. It was 100% made for her! She shared a bit with us about her wedding dress search:
I went by myself during the week and had Jules at the Lovely Bride Chicago help me. Just her and I together decided on the Wyatt! I was surprised it was a different style than what I had imagined I wanted but I loved it when I put it on. It was a simple & easy process!
Proud Pups!! Such sweet faces. We love to see dogs included in the wedding day. They’re part of the family after all! Check this out for more ways to include your dog on wedding day!
Alllllll the heart eyes!!!
