It’s not every couple who will hire a tattoo artist to send guests off with favors that will last a little longer than say, homemade candles! That’s how you know Ezra + Rachel were serious about fun. Color, texture, art, and vibrant florals led the way for their California wedding full of happy details! Onyx + Redwood provided the design + planning expertise, bringing E + R’s vision to life:
We tried to incorporate a lot of personal details that reflected our interests. We both love tattoos so we had a tattoo artist there giving tattoos to guests! We also had my mom’s art incorporated into the invitations and menus. Our signature cocktails were named after our dogs and we had an artist draw their portraits for the drink menu. We didn’t want it to feel like a traditional wedding and our wedding planner absolutely nailed the funky feel we were going for.

The day’s design relied on tropical foliage and raw, cut open fruit for a bold + edgy effect.

The emerald velvet tablecloths, mustard runners + denim linens from La Tavola Fine Linen worked so well with the wooden tables.
The wedding invitation suite and event signage all incorporated Rachel’s mother’s artwork and calligraphy by Lazy Creative Designs!

Donuts! The “Sugar High” dessert display was a fun spread of delicious Voodoo Doughnuts!
Don’t get caught up trying to please everybody. Focus on the fact that you get to marry the love of your life and the wedding is just a fun bonus 🙂
